Today Dylan met Wyland. He was nervous and excited but that all went away the moment they shook hands and said hello. Wyland began to paint a manatee then handed the brush to Dylan. The painting is beautiful! Seeing Dylan’s signature next to Wyland’s … Priceless.
Best In Show Youth Exhibit
This morning Dyl broke into broadcasting on Coyote 102.5 and LOVED it! Dylan and Sarah, Director of the New Mexico Autism Society, talked about tomorrow’s Race for Autism at the Balloon Fiesta park.
Dylan is very passionate about the ocean and all of its inhabitants. He spends a lot time at the local aquarium and one day hopes to be a marine biologist.
When he heard there was a campaign to bring otters to the Biopark, he immediately wanted to help. Dylan would like this painting to be auctioned off with 100% of the proceeds benefitting the otter exhibit.
Dyl entered two paintings into the 2014 New Mexico Arts and Crafts Fair youth exhibit. This show attracts artists from all over the state including many youth artists. Dyl’s “Sunrise on the Rio Grande” won first place for 9th graders. “Spotted Sheep” was selected for a merit award by one of the exhibiting adult artists as well as an Honorable Mention by the Fair committee.
This fantastic watercolor will be part of the New Mexico Shriners’ Los Compadres Golf Classic and Silent Auction June 20 & 21, 2014.
Once again… One heck of a masterpiece!
This painting was raffled off to help 16 well deserving kids go to camp. There were many items up for auction to support this great cause, but Dylan’s painting made over $400!! Way to go Dyl!
